Special Ward 6 Pedestrian Advisory Council Meeting |

Councilmember Charles Allen would like to bring together the Ward 6 Pedestrian Advisory Council to talk about how to make Vision Zero a reality on April 29. Please RSVP below. We will be meeting at Watkins Elementary School, which is near Eastern Market Metro and just one block north of Pennsylvania Avenue bus lines. Agenda to come, but for now we'll certainly want to talk about the following:

  • CM Allen introduced the Vision Zero Enhancement Amendment Act of 2018 last fall. When he reintroduces that this Council Period, what should it include?
  • Should CM Allen and CM Cheh hold another Vision Zero roundtable and what should that roundtable focus on?
  • What should be done to build Vision Zero into a larger, community-wide movement? How do we get larger community buy-in on the need for protected bike lanes and improved pedestrian infrastructure, often at the expense of extra travel lanes?
