The recent increase in crime in our community is troubling and has many of our neighbors frustrated. Councilmember Allen has been working with Chief Lanier and MPD 1st District Commander Jeff Brown to add more resources, manpower, and overtime to the neighborhoods.

At the same time, he is also looking at the long-term problem and solutions, working with Council colleagues on how we move forward to make needed legislative changes for our communities and our city.

Councilmember Allen has invited MPD Chief Cathy Lanier and 1D Commander Jeff Brown to a public community meeting to outline their plans and response, as well as answer questions from residents directly.
