Ward 6 Budget Town Hall

If you've got questions or priorities for DC's next budget -- or if you want to learn more about funding parks, schools, small businesses, public safety, and more -- don't miss Councilmember Allen's Ward 6 Budget Town Hall on Tuesday, June 15 from 8-9:30 pm. This annual event, taking place online, is a great opportunity to get an overview of the budget process, understand what the Mayor's proposed budget includes, and hear a little from Councilmember Allen on his priorities going into the process.

But most importantly, the floor will be open to Ward 6 residents to share their funding priorities big and small. Residents can use this time to speak to their concerns or priorities or ask questions.

The event will be held as a Zoom Webinar (RSVP required for link) and streamed on Councilmember Allen's Facebook page. RSVP below for information on how to access both.

How to participate during the event:

Video Submission: Because this is a widespread community event online, we will not take live video testimony. Ward 6 residents can submit a question in advance via video and we will air as many as we can, certainly including all of the broader topics. Residents can submit videos here (30 seconds or less, please) here.

Live Written Comments/ Questions: Residents watching the town hall can submit comments and questions live in the chat box for both the Zoom webinar as well as on Facebook. Staff will be sharing these comments/questions with Councilmember Allen in realtime to he can acknowledge and respond as many as possible.

Can't make the Town Hall? Don't worry, you can watch the entire presentation afterwards on Councilmember Allen's Facebook page
