The Great Ward 6 Spring Clean

Join your neighbors and Councilmember Allen for a little spring cleaning as we step outside and take some time to beautify Ward 6. We're hosting three locations, but we're also coordinating with community groups, school PTOs, ANC leaders, and more to make sure we give every inch of Ward 6 a good scrub. RSVP if you're down to help clean a little bit on Saturday, April 1 (that's not a joke), and we'll follow-up with more information.

It doesn't take much, but if we all pitch in, it's going to make a big difference!

Residents are welcome to join clean-up locations across the Ward hosted by either our office or community leaders and businesses, or do a clean-up on your block or alley (don't forget to post and use #W6SpringClean).

Here are sites you can join on April 1 (start time is 10 am unless otherwise noted):

  • Eastern Market Metro Park (hosted by CM Allen Office)
    • Meet near metro entrance, will cover Barracks Row as well

2023 Ward 6 Budget Town Hall

Join Councilmember Charles Allen and our team to break down the budget process and walk through what's in the Mayor's proposal for Ward 6 neighbors and across a wide range of issues important to every neighborhood in the District. CM Allen will run through an overview before turning it over to residents for questions or comments on what your priorities are as the Council undergoes its work to finalize the budget. We will be in the auditorium of the beautiful new School-Within-A-School at Goding, which was just modernized and re-opened this year.

Join us at 6 pm for a tour of the new school. The Ward 6 Budget Town Hall will begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8 pm.

RSVP below -- we will have a livestream available and will share instructions in email with those who RSVP closer to the event.
