Ward 6 Career Fair is Friday!

This Friday, April 27 we will have 40 employers looking to meet job seekers at Arena Stage at the latest Ward 6 Career Fair. Join Councilmember Charles Allen, along with At-Large Councilmembers Elissa Silverman and Robert White Jr., at this semi-annual Ward 6 Career Fair at Arena Stage (1101 Sixth St., SW) from 9 am to 1 pm.

To register and attend: The event is free and open to District residents only – the deadline to register is this Thursday, April 26 at noon. Call Jen DeMayo in Councilmember Allen’s office at 202-807-0584 or email [email protected] to register. If you’re attending with a participating community organization, you can register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/semi-annual-spring-career-fair-of-2018-tickets-44847860157

You must pre-register to participate in the event. All job applicants should come prepared for a possible on-site interview and have plenty of copies of their resume. We’ll have more than 40 employers from the retail, hospitality, health, construction, transportation, and facilities services industries looking to connect with job seekers.

The Ward 6 Career Fair has been happening in partnership with Arena Stage for more than seven years! More recently, we’ve joined forces with Councilmember Elissa Silverman and now Councilmember Robert White Jr to help as many District residents as possible start a new career.

It’s been our tradition at past Career Fairs to ring a cowbell whenever someone lands an interview or even in some cases a job offer. Obviously this Friday, we need more cowbell!
