Ahead of the Sept 28 hearing on school repairs at the Council, I requested every open work order the DC Department of General Services has for Ward 6 DCPS schools that is more than 30 days old.
I'm sharing the full list (472!) of items so Ward 6 neighbors can see what's happening at their school and others as I prepare to question DGS leadership later.

Roofers are needed to assess and resolves the issues. There is a crack in the first skylight on the roof of the library. Water pours into the library whenever we have inclement weather. The skylight is located over top of several computers, which have to be moved when there's inclement weather. Assignment Description: There is a significant leak coming from the roof as soon as you enter the Main Lobby at Brent ES. Whenever we have rain the ceiling tiles get saturated with water and are in danger of falling on students parents and staff. A roofing solution is needed to stop this issue from occurring.
