If you give Ward 6 Lemons...
you’re gonna have to build a lemonade stand, and then you’re going to sell delicious lemonade and if you’re already selling lemonade, Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen will probably drop by for some, and he may invite The Hill is Home as well. And since they are already dropping by for lemonade, you may as well make a charitable donation from your stand’s proceeds. And since you made a charitable donation, you may as well enter a raffle so you and your family can win Nats tickets and enjoy a day of fun in the sun!
As one of our final events to round out Ward 6 Week, we've partnered with The Hill is Home to invite Capitol Hill families and kids to participate in a neighborhood-wide lemonade stand contest on Saturday, July 22! Break out your lemon juicers (or the mix; we won't tell anyone), and get creative decorating your stands. We also encourage participants to choose a local charitable organization they care about to donate their lemonade proceeds. If you send us a receipt of your donation afterwards, you'll be entered in a lottery for some Nats tickets from our office! Those wishing to enter a stand should RSVP below with their address to be be added to a map of all the participating lemonade stands (your actual address will not be shared).
Starting at 10am on Saturday July 22, Councilmember Allen and The Hill is Home will be biking around to greet all the participants, enjoy some delicious lemonade, judge the stands, and hear about the organizations you want to support!
