On Thursday, May 7, Councilmember Charles Allen will host a Ward 6 Town Hall meeting on the proposed DC Budget. The Councilmember will brief attendees on budget items of specific interest to Ward 6 neighborhoods, his areas of focus in the Council's budget debate, and next steps in the city's budget process. Attendees will be invited to ask questions and share their priorities with Councilmember Allen.

WASHINGTON, DC – At this morning’s DC Council Committee of the Whole meeting, Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen introduced his “Books From Birth” bill to create a new early literacy initiative in partnership with DC Public Libraries. The bill was co-introduced unanimously by Allen’s ten Council colleagues.
